Stroud District Local Strategic Partnership
Founded in 2002, the Stroud District Local Strategic Partnership is widely known as the LSP. The partnership is made up of leaders in the private, voluntary, community and public sectors.
It’s purpose is to promote the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the people of the Stroud District via the encouragement of effective partnership and the sharing of information.
Stroud District Youth Council (SDYC) have long been a member organisation of this partnership and are typically represented by the elected SDYC Leader and SDYC Chairperson (or their deputies) each year.
The nature of this partnership enables SDYC representatives to have an equal voice to that of adults on a wide range of matters of interest and concern to all sectors. This inclusive approach to involving young people is an excellent example of how seriously youth voice (youth participation) is taken in the Stroud district.
Over the years a good number of youth related projects and initiatives have gained cross sector support through this partnership.
